Who we are

TideArcade ("we", "us") is a free browser games website operated by the operator of this website. You can reach us at kontakt@tidearcade.com. We are the controller of the personal data described below.

What we collect

• Account data – if you register: your email address (used only to sign in and to answer account requests; never shown to other players), your nickname and a salted, one-way hash of your password (we never store or see the password itself).
• Guest nickname – guests get a random nickname that is stored only in their own browser.
• Game data – ratings, scores, wins, losses and a history of finished matches, which are shown on leaderboards and your public profile.
• Friends and lobbies – friend requests you send or accept, and temporary lobby membership while you play with others.
• Technical data – your IP address is processed briefly in memory to prevent abuse (for example rate limiting of login attempts) and may appear in short-lived server logs.

Guests can play without an account. Guest games run in your browser and are not stored on our servers.

Why we use it (legal basis)

• To provide your account, rankings and multiplayer features (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep the service secure and prevent cheating and abuse (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To show advertising (your consent where required, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Advertising

This website shows ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used, and can change their choice at any time via the "Privacy and cookie settings" link that the consent message provides.

See our Cookie Policy for the full list. In short: one strictly necessary cookie keeps you signed in, your browser remembers your language and sound preferences, and advertising cookies are only set according to your consent choices.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your username, ratings and match history are public on leaderboards and profile pages. Hosting providers process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements. Google processes data as described above when ads are displayed.

How long we keep it

Account and game data are kept while your account exists. Detailed score entries older than 90 days are deleted automatically (your best score stays on your profile). Sessions expire after 30 days. When you delete your account, your profile, ratings, friends and match history are removed immediately.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account yourself from your profile page. For any other request, email kontakt@tidearcade.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Poland: UODO, uodo.gov.pl).

Children

The site is suitable for all ages, but accounts are intended for users aged 16 or older (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). Younger players can play as guests.

Security

Passwords are hashed with scrypt, sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies, all traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and every game result used for rankings is verified on our server.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new date.
