How to play Drift
Three laps against three computer drivers. You start last. Your score is your drift points plus a bonus for your place and your time.
Rules
- The car speeds up by itself. Steer with the arrows at the bottom (or the arrow keys on a computer).
- Hold DRIFT (or Space) in a bend to throw the car sideways. Sliding on the tarmac builds a drift chain: the longer it lasts, the higher the multiplier, up to ×5.
- Straighten up and the chain is banked: the points count and the car gets a turbo. Hitting the tyre wall or running onto the grass loses the chain.
- Places pay 6000 / 3500 / 1800 / 600 points, and the quicker the race, the bigger the time bonus.
Tips to win
- Start the drift before the bend, not in the middle of it.
- A long smooth slide beats many short ones: the multiplier grows with time.
- Use the turbo on the straight that follows to overtake.
